Super Ways To Increase Gas Mileage Beginning Today

Posted by admin on 11 February 2009

The continuous yo yo like fluctuations we see at the pump have a lot of individuals searching for a means to and end.I don't know about you but I have more important things to think about then what gas station has the cheapest gas.  With that being said, finding ways to increase gas mileage is a good way to pinch a few pennies.

In our search for ways to increase gas mileage, there are several things that we can do.  For starters, we can concentrate on driving a little bit slower.  Continuing, we can check and make sure that are brakes are not sticking which will cause more drag on the engine.  Another thing that we can check out is the air pressure in our tires and make sure it is correct.  And lastly, be sure to keep your car on a regular service schedule.  All of these things will go a long way in our fight to save a little extra cash at the pump.

Sometimes though, doing what is recommended is just not enough when finding ways to increase gas mileage.  With the latest technological advances it is now possible to increase your gas mileage by up to fifty percent.  There is a technology that has garnered a lot of attention that utilizes gas and distilled water to run an engine.

With it’s popularity on the rise, still, there are quite a few individuals who have never heard of this technology.  This whole thing works by putting a device called a Hydrogen generator on your cars engine.  The generator is a small device that easily fits under the hood and mixes water and gas to from a vapor called Hydrogen Oxygen or HHO.  With this new mixture, our cars and trucks will become more efficient allowing us to see great improvements in fuel economy.

Another great thing that these types of generators have to offer or their positive indicators on our environment. With your car using less gas, it's emissions will be less leading to less polutant's in the environment.  Another added bonus is that your engine will have a longer life due to the limited amount of carbon build up on your engine.

Do me a favor, relax a moment and think of what you could buy if you were saving nearly 50 percent on your gas expenditures. Were you aware that you could pocket hundreds of dollars in savings if you'll only use this technology?  As I am sure you can guess, a Hydrogen gas saver is becoming very popular as one of the many ways to increase gas mileage and save at the pump.  Keep this in the back of your mind the next time you find yourself getting angry after paying a boatload to fill up your car.

Looking at Fuel Saving Devices Closely

gas saving devices

Due to economic crisis all over the world, people look for ways to save. Saving may have been disregarded before but at present, whether a person likes it or not, he/she must learn how to save. Commodities are having high prices. Rich or poor, people are greatly affected. Those who have vehicles really are faced with a dilemma on how to save fuel. They ask what are fuel saving devices? This question needs to be addressed because fuel prices from time to time is increasing.

People have looked for ways to increase fuel economy. Many technologies which claim to improve fuel economy are out in the market. Before you buy fuel saving devices, you need to know what these are and how these work. Most fuel saving devices claim an increase in combustion efficiency. Surprisingly, based on studies, fuel saving devices do not work as claimed. As what is stated in Wikipedia “On modern engines there is relatively little scope for improving combustion efficiency. Most of what can be legitimately achieved is done by reducing parasitic losses of accessories e.g. fans, water pump, and pumping losses by taller vehicle gearing.”

If you are not convinced yet, you may have your own research regarding fuel saving devices. After all, the choice is yours to make. Fuel saving devices especially those advertised in the internet tell half-truths. Certainly, you would like to have the right value for your hard-earned cash. Understandably, people will fall into the trap of buying fuel saving devices for the endorsers of these products claim to have about 10-15% fuel saving, reduce emissions, improve performance, and cost about £50 (80 US$) (so costs about £5 to make!).

As a wise buyer, you want the right value for your money, right? Why don’t you look deeper into these claims? Fuel saving devices claim to have 10 to 15% fuel saving. Is this claim supported scientifically? Scientific basis is always a necessity. Granting that there is a scientific test conducted, what cars were used? Do you think modern vehicles are worn ? When test are conducted, very old cars are used. Olds cars are different with modern ones.

The next claim of fuel saving devices is on emissions reduction. Tony’s Guide to Fuel Saving Gadgets revealed that “Measurements showing emissions reduction are nearly always taken from the UK MoT test or something equivalent. This consists of measures of hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2), and is taken at idle. This completely ignores oxides of nitrogen (NOx), one of the most dangerous pollutants from car engines. It also ignores the fact that the emissions while driving are very different to the emissions at idle, because of the higher load and speed.”

If your wish is to buy one of the fuel saving devices to help you save fuel, think again. You might just have added your expenses instead of saving.
